Check out our flickr stream for photos from our fight
to restore professional pay, benefits and respect
for interpreters in Washington!

Our flickr collection includes photos from:

  • Ceremony marking the Governor's signing of our historic bill
  • Campaign to get collective bargaining rights & save funding; (fall 2009 to fall 2010)
  • 200+ interpreters from around WA gathering for a Forum in August 2010 to give testimony to DSHS & the Governor's office about why the broker system needs to end, and interpreters need more respect;
  • 95% of interpreters voting UNION YES in September 2010;
  • WFSE members, including interperters, learning how to help legislators understand our message in Jan 2011.

VIDEOS FROM OUR CAMPAIGNS

Watch this powerful video on why to say UNION YES that was shown today to the thousands of delegates attending AFSCME's 40th convention in Los Angeles in June 2012.  The video features a former Local 1671 Vice President and 2013-2015 Bargaining Team member discussing interpreters' struggles here in Washington!
