Interpreters United is an IRC 501(c)(5) non-profit organization run by INTERPRETERS WHO VOLUNTEER to serve their colleagues.

Interpreters United is AFSCME's Local 1671, a statewide local organized under AFSCME Council 28 also known as the Washington Federation of State Employees. 

Per our consitution, Local 1671 conducts the election for its Executive Board in December of odd years. 

Local 1671 conducts the election for its Policy Committee delegates in October of odd years.

Elections for Trustee positions are also conducted by Local 1671 in December each time a term in office expires.

Vacancies in office can be filled by vote of the Executive Board. Please contact us if you are interested in being appointed to a vacant position.
