General Membership Statewide Meetings |

In AFSCME’s International Constitution, The Bill of Rights for Union Members states:
Article 5.1 of our Consitution mandates regular membership meetings at least four (4) times per year. During these quarterly Statewide Meetings, members make decisions on what they want their local to do. To conduct the union’s business in a democratic, effective, and orderly manner, it is important to have a set of rules to go by. AFSCME’s Constitution and Local 1671's Constitution specify that “Robert’s Rules of Order” be used to govern meetings. Check out the "How to Take Part in a Local Meeting" guidelines to help you take part in Local 1671's Statewide General Membership Meetings. Download: How-to-Take-Part in a Local Meeting.pdf |
