Negotiations begin in May 2012 for our next 2 year union contract with Washington State. We will submit our proposed agreement to send to the Legislature by October 2012 for approval by the Legislature during the spring 2013 legislative session.

After winning our first union with a 95% vote in fall 2010, we elected an interpreter bargaining team.  Our first union contract took effect July 1, 2011 and is in effect through June 30, 2013.  When issues arise during the life of this contract, the 2011-2013 Bargaining Team continues to negotiate on our behalf.
